I am Anjela Bugher, knitter, geek, resto shaman, happy wife, fourth-generation Japanese-American, and many other things, all combined into a package I happen to think is pretty cute.

Me! As of late 2008.
I often think it's easier to describe myself with a list of my hobbies and skills than trying to put together a life story, so here are some things I do that I love:
- Knitting. I started knitting in May 2001, and haven't stopped since. Okay, maybe to eat and sleep. I love knitting all kinds of things, but my favorite things are lace (usually shawls), socks (usually for my husband), and... really, anything involving wool. Wool is my favorite fiber, and it comes, not coincidentally, from my favorite animal (SHEEP!).
- Reading. I've been an avid reader since I was a kid. My parents say I learned to read at 2 1/2 years old, and that by the time I was 3 I could read all my birthday cards. Now, of course, 3-year-old birthday cards aren't always the most challenging things, but you gotta admit, that's pretty cool. :) Anyway, my general across-the-board goal for reading, every year, is to read 100 books, a percentage of which should be books I've never read before (I do re-read quite a bit). I read romance, science fiction, fantasy, nonfiction, books about knitting, books about the economy, romance self-help books (mostly to be smug) and basically anything else that strikes my fancy. I have a LibraryThing account; you can find me over there as Ovistine.
- WoWing. "Ovistine? What's an Ovistine?" Well, Ovistine is related to my next big hobby, which is... World of Warcraft. Ovistine was, for several years, my main, and it's a name I never have to compete for when I'm signing up for services like LibraryThing and Gmail. (Ovistine is a dwarf priest on Feathermoon.) My main now is Teuthida, my resto shaman, who I love to absolute bits. I never expected her to take over as my main, but I love the versatility and hardiness of shamans (if you wear all mail and a shield, you can take some serious hits before you croak), and it turns out raid healing as a shaman (or even 5-man healing) is enormously, ridiculously fun. Plus, you get to bring totems with you, and everybody likes totems. (A shoutout here to Anna of Too Many Annas, who is one of my raid officers, and who has been amazingly helpful in upping the level of my shaman healing. Thank you, Anna! <3)
- Being married. Okay, that's... not exactly a hobby. However, it is the single most important and happiest thing in my life. I have an amazingly wonderful and supportive partner who has been the great love of my life for the last 12 years, and I've been fortunate enough to be married to him for the last 8+. He's awesome and smart and jaw-droppingly handsome, and every day I spend with him is one in which I'm blessed. I am also fortunate that he feels the same way about me, though he isn't quite as showy about it. :)
I totally do have other hobbies and interests and activities, but I am also tired of writing this page, so I'll keep adding them later on. >_> Hope you're enjoying the reviews!
